At Home Tech Works we work on the “pre-spec” level to build in household operations systems in the blueprints, creating the best systems possible and increased profitability for you.

Our design system utilizes your CAD files to create and document the network design, thus creating true home prewire designs. The systems are seamless and integrated into all the home’s internal workings.  We strive to simplify your documentation process.

Additionally, we have expanded on the electrical plan information typically dealt with on the features level by builders, to encompass more fully the technological and entertainment capabilities available for the home.

Usually low voltage and structural wiring considerations have been lumped in with electrical plans and high voltage concerns. We believe that low voltage deserves a separate category of thinking that will allow your clients to more fully decide on these issues. The household systems encompassing low voltage have expanded rapidly and we feel they warrant their own consideration and contractor. The creation of technologically up-to-par homes is an important reason for doing this.

Under the heading of Structural Wiring / Low Voltage, the following components can be called out:

INTERIOR

1.      Cable TV outlet locations

2.      Telephone outlet locations

3.      Data / Internet locations

4.      Quad outlet locations

5.      Audio / video distribution locations

6.      Satellite dish feed / transmission reception locations

7.      Security wiring zones and locations

8.      Surround Sound / home theater locations

9.      Home automation prewire locations

10.  Energy conservation

11.  Equipment and service panel locations (preferably a garage or centrally

Located closet other than the master bedroom closet).

EXTERIOR

1.      Audio distribution locations

2.      Security prewire locations

3.      Guest quarters or other separate building locations and considerations

We hope this is helpful in expanding the level of feedback your clients provide for you in the area of “smart home” technology. We look forward to the opportunity to be of further assistance to you in this area.
